“We were thrilled with the organization, volunteers, and the course. The water was very swimmer friendly with lots of buoys to guide us, kayaks to guard us, and crowds on shore to cheer us. Most of all, we enjoyed the run course with the incredible aid stations at every mile. And those t-shirts are definitely keepers!”

Boulder Peak Accolades
Inside Triathlon, in its Jan/Feb 2006 issue, rated the Boulder Peak as the 4th Best Triathlon in the U.S. behind only Escape from Alcatraz, Hawaii Ironman, and Wildflower - great company!

USA Triathlon, the governing body of the sport, officially named the Boulder Peak Triathlon as the 2004 “Large Triathlon of the Year (more than 250 entrants).”

USA Triathlon Times, the official newsletter of USA Triathlon, referred to the event as “exceptionally well organized, very challenging, and beautiful venue.”

Listed as "one of North America's Best Triathlons" by Triathlete Magazine and one of America’s Top 15 classic races in the United States, per Inside Triathlon’s TriGuide 2005.

Boulder Triathlon Series
The Boulder Peak Triathlon is the second of three races comprising the 2008 Boulder Triathlon Series. The other two are the 5430 Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, June 15th, and the 5430 Long Course Triathlon on August 10th. A special Boulder Triathlon Series registration package rate for all three races is available. There will be $16,000 in cash and gift certificates from sponsors for the top age group finishers in the Series.

Host Hotel
5430 Sports is again happy to have Holiday Inn Express – Boulder as our Host Hotel in 2008. Located less than 5 miles from the Boulder Reservoir, the Holiday Inn Express offers many amenities including an outdoor pool, hot tub, airport transportation, high speed internet access and, often the highlight, the Continental Breakfast which opens early on race day just for you!

5430 Charities
The 5430 Boulder Triathlon Series has designated the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) as our official charity. ALS TDI has a clear mission of finding effective treatments for persons with ALS. The organization and its work can be reviewed by clicking here. Our commitment to ALS was greatly deepened when one of our family of racers – John Stermer – was diagnosed with ALS in September, 2004. Additionally, we became friends with Jon Blais who was the first person with ALS to complete the Hawaii Ironman. Both men have succumbed to the disease, but their spirits will always be with us. Donations can be made as you complete registration. Processing fees will not be added to your specified amount (your event receipt can be used for your tax purposes). Please help us out on this incredibly worthy mission.
